Rowley Dickinson is commited to developing its current links with overseas investors and has had particular involvement with Japanese, German, American and Dutch companies.


One of the firm's partners has lived in Japan for two and a half years and has an understanding of the Japanese language and Japan's customs.


Details of work undertaken by the firm on behalf of overseas investors in recent years include advice, negotiation and a comprehensive service upon transactions involving investments totalling more than £60 million and the safeguarding or creation of over 600 jobs in the North-West of England relating to:


Acquisition and development of sites for factory relocation and/or construction of new manafacturing facilities (eg. up to 18 acre or 72, 884 square metres site aquisition)


New build contracts and collateral warranties from connected parties


Development agreements for new manafacturing facilities (eg. up to 350,000 square feet or 32, 515 square metres)


Negotiantion of leases for offices and warehousing (eg. up to 22, 500 square feet or 2, 010 square metres)


Enviromental issues including brown-field sites and contaminated land issues - appointment of environmental consultants and advising upon environmental warranties etc.

Kratos Analytical Ltd, a subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation, which now has a purpose built  5, 000 square metres premises at the Wharfside site, Trafford Park, Manchester.


Kayaba UK, a subsidiary of the Japanese Kayaba automotive component company, which now has a 2, 010 square metres storage and distribution centre at Warrington's Taurus Park.
